Consoles

PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, handhelds and retro

Home consoles, handhelds and machines from another era. We open them, clean them and get them running like the first day — including the ones nobody else will touch.

How deep we go

We open the pad piece by piece

Scroll: the DualSense turns and comes apart. We work on every one of these — drift included, which is the number one fault.

  1. Front shellCracked after a drop · scratches · clicks that no longer spring back
  2. TouchpadNot responding to touch · click stuck · light bar dead
  3. Buttons and D-padButton not responding · unwanted double clicks · D-pad sticking
  4. Analog sticksDrift: aim moves on its own · worn cap · loose stick
  5. L2 / R2 triggersSoft trigger · doesn't spring back · gritty travel
  6. MainboardWon't turn on · won't pair · liquid damage · wobbly charging port
  7. Haptic motorsNo vibration · constant buzz · only one side vibrates
  8. BatteryBarely lasts · won't charge · shuts down by itself
  9. Back shellWorn grips · stripped screws · shell that won't close

What we repair on consoles

From the PS5 that roars like a hairdryer to the Game Boy from the cupboard. If it is not on the list, ask anyway.

Hot and noisy

Fan screaming, console shutting down mid-game, performance dropping. Internal cleaning, fresh thermal paste and new thermal pads.

HDMI port

Black screen, picture coming and going, the cable has to be held at an angle. The connector is desoldered and replaced: microscope work.

Disc drive

Will not read discs, spits them out, grinding noises. We replace the laser or the mechanism.

Will not turn on

Blinking light, error beeps, dead power supply, shuts down after a few seconds.

Controllers and drift

The character walks on its own, buttons not responding, soft triggers, a battery that no longer holds.

Nintendo Switch

Joy-Con drift, charging port, broken screen, will not sit in the dock, fan and cooling.

Handhelds

Steam Deck, ROG Ally, PSP, Vita, 3DS: screens, sticks, batteries, connectors and cooling.

Retro consoles

We recondition older machines: capacitors, cleaning the contacts, video output, dead save batteries.

Storage

Extra SSD, replacing the internal drive, moving saves and your library across without losing anything.

How we work

Opened, cleaned and put back together properly

A console that runs hot is not fixed with a can of compressed air. It gets opened, the heatsink comes off, the dust packed between the fins comes out, the thermal paste is redone and the thermal pads are replaced — the part almost nobody changes, and almost always the reason it starts running hot again a month later.

Then it goes back under load, not just switched on: if it will not hold a demanding game for half an hour, it does not leave the workshop.
