Fix Solutions S.R.L.S. has traded under the iFix solutions name since 2012. Our premises are at Via Merulana 257, 00185 Rome; a second shop is opening at Via Tiburtina 638/B, Rome.

2. What data we collect

We process the data you give us when you fill in a form on this site or get in touch: full name or company name, email address, telephone number, tax code or VAT number, the address for collection or for an on-site visit, details of the device (make, model, colour, serial number or IMEI) and your description of the problem.

This site uses no profiling cookies and no analytics tools: we do not track you, and there are no advertising cookies.

The Find us page embeds two Google Maps maps. When they load, Google receives your IP address and may set its own technical cookies: this is the only third-party content on the site. The maps only load once you scroll down to them. Alternatively you can use the address links, which open Google Maps in a separate tab.

The Test your device page runs its checks entirely inside your browser: the microphone and camera only switch on after you explicitly allow them, and neither the audio, nor the images, nor the results of the tests are sent to us or stored anywhere. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp from the summary, you decide what to send.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

  • Answering your requests for a quote, a collection or support, and handling the repair: pre-contractual steps and performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Legal obligations, in particular tax and accounting ones (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Device details needed for diagnosis and shipping: performance of the contract.
  • Showing the maps on the Find us page: legitimate interest in helping you find our shops (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not pass it to third parties for marketing.

4. Who it may be disclosed to

Your data may be processed by authorised iFix staff and disclosed to parties who provide us with supporting services, acting as processors: the courier handling collection and delivery, our email provider, and the provider of the site's infrastructure. To these is added Google Ireland Ltd., for the embedded maps only. Any transfer outside the EU takes place under the safeguards required by the GDPR.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as it takes to deal with your request and handle any repair, and after that for the period required by tax and legal obligations (normally ten years for accounting records). Requests that do not lead to any work are deleted within 24 months.

6. Your rights

You have the right to ask for access to your data, and for it to be corrected, erased or restricted; to object to processing; and to receive your data in a portable format. You can exercise these rights by writing to fixsolutions.roma@gmail.com.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Providing your data

Providing the data marked as required in the forms is necessary for us to reply: without it we cannot take on the request. The rest is optional, and only helps us give you more accurate support.
